The Trebuchet uses the effects of Counterpoise to fire its mighty shells: that is, a weight is used to leverage the arm into the air. The good men of Saxony understood this better than anybody else, and drilled their crews to improve the machine's efficency. The result of their work is trebuchets that fire, pack, and unpack at a faster rate, giving a decisive advantage in battle.
